My name is Ann Switzer and welcome to 5th grade. I have taught at Thomas Edison Elementary School since 1988. During this time I have taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. As a professional educator, my main objective is to give my students the skills to reason and successfully solve challenges that present themselves in both academics and life in general. To accomplish this task, I teach with the purpose of developing independent learners. As my students continue to move up in their education, more and more is required of them. My responsibility is to guide them in finding solutions to their problems and to develop questioning techniques that will help in probelm solving. My hope is to encourage, support and educate tomorrow's leaders.
