Common Sense Media – Free, K-12 digital citizenship curriculum. Creative Credit/Copyright is one of the eight topics the lessons focus on. These lessons are a great way to help students become positive, productive digital citizens.

Creative Commons – Creative Commons is an American non-profit organization devoted to expanding the range of creative works available for others to build upon legally and to share. The organization has released several copyright-licenses known as Creative Commons licenses free of charge to the public. Wikipedia

Google Expeditions – Search for available Google Expeditions (CTRL F) and take your students on a VR (Virtual Reality) tour! See Mrs. Puckett to reserve the VR Goggles.

iMedia Portal (Monroe #1 BOCES) – Video on Demand, Off-Air Recording, Media Manager (borrowing multi-media devices from BOCES), video production etc.

Lexile Framework for Reading – Find “Just Right” books, look up the reading level of a book, analyze text etc.

PBS Learning – WXXI and PBS have curated FREE, standards-aligned videos, interactives, lesson plans, and more just for New York teachers like you. Create your own FREE account or contact librarian, Beth Puckett, for support.

Safari Montage (Monroe #1 BOCES – direct link) – With over 60,000 videos, documents, web links, and more cataloged, this service allows educationally relevant content to be delivered right into the classroom via a network connection.

copyright.gov – This is the U.S. Copyright Office website. You can learn just about anything you want to know about the copyright law and its history. Be sure to check out the Education section.

Copyright and Intellectual Property – Kathy Schrock’s website is always a great resource for educators. She has a section all about copyright and intellectual property with resources for classroom use and educator learning.
