2022 - 2023 Academic School Year

The academic school year is divided into five semesters.  For the 2020-2021 academic school year:

Semester 1                    August  30, 2022 - November 3, 2022

Semester 2                     November 4, 2022 - January 18, 2023

Semester 3                     January 19 2023 - March 25, 2023 

Semester 4                     March  28, 2023 - June 8, 2023  

Graduation commencement ceremony will be June 9, 2023  JMMS

Student Orientation:

All NEW students MUST attend orientation prior to acceptance into the program.  Orientation is scheduled at least one week before the new semester.  Refer to the following schedule for specific dates and times.

Semester 1 Orientation     August 23, 2022 (9:45 AM - 11:45 AM)

Semester 2 Orientation     October 27, 2022 (12:45 PM – 2:45 PM)  

Semester 3 Orientation    January 20, 2023 (12:45 PM – 2:45 PM)

Semester 4 Orientation     March 16, 2023 (12:45 PM – 2:45 PM)

Regular Class Schedule:

Classes for the high school credit diploma program run daily from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM.  Please review the daily schedule.  *This new schedule goes into effect 11/4/2021

Period 1                      7:45 AM - 8:40 AM

Period 2                      8:43 AM - 9:38 AM

Period 3                      9:41 AM - 10:36 AM

Period 4                     10:39 AM -11:33 AM

Break     11:33 AM -11:53 AM 20 minute break

Period 5                     11:53 AM - 12:47 PM

Period 6 12:50 PM -  1:45 PM

Period 7 1:50 PM -    2:25 PM

Early Dismissal Schedule:

On most occasions when there are early dismissals in the East Haven Public Schools the day will be shorter at the Adult Learning Center.  Check with the Adult Learning Center administration for specific exceptions. .  All students are required to attend classes.  Please review the early dismissal schedule.

Period 1                         7:45 AM -   8:18 AM

Period 2                       8:21 AM -   8:54 AM

Period 3                       8:57 AM -   9:30 AM

Period 4                       9:33 AM -   10:06 AM There is no midday break

Period 5                         10:09 AM - 10:42 AM

Period 6                      10:45 AM - 11:18 AM

Period 7 11:21 AM - 11:54 AM

90-Minute Delay Schedule:

When there is a 90-minute delay in the East Haven Public Schools the day will be shorter at the Adult Learning Center. Check with the Adult Learning Center administration for specific exceptions. On these days students are required to find their own transportation, bus service will not be available. All students are required to attend classes. Please review the 90-minute delay schedule. 

Period 1                      9:15 AM -  9:57 AM

Period 2                    10:00 AM -  10:42 AM

Period 3                    10:45 AM -  11:27 AM

Period 4                    11:30 AM -  12:12 PM 

Break           12:12 PM - 12:22 PM 10 minute break

Period 5                    12:22 PM  - 1:04 PM 

Period 6                    1:07 PM   -  1:45 PM

Period 7 1:48 PM  -   2:30 PM

 2 Hour Delay Schedule:

When there is a 2 hour delay dictated by the East Haven Public Schools, the classroom periods will be shorter at the Adult Learning Center. Check with the Adult Learning Center administration for specific exceptions. On these days students are required to find their own transportation, bus service will not be available. All students are required to attend classes. Please review the 2 hour delay schedule.
