ABE - Adult Basic Education
The Adult Basic Education (ABE) Program is designed to provide instruction in the basic academic skills of reading, writing, and mathematics to adult learners in order to prepare them for transitioning into higher education, vocational training and/or employment. This program can be used as a precursor to the GED and EDP programs. The desired outcome is to help each adult learner reach a high level of self-sufficiency as an individual, family member, and community member.
If you are under 18 years of age, contact the Adult Education Facilitator, Jean Copeland, to determine your eligibility. 203-468-3795 or email her at jcopeland@east-haven.k12.ct.us
