Our department, in an effort to promote student achievement, strives to recruit, employ and retain the highest quality of certified staff for the Canton City School District. Our office provides assistance for teachers in the areas of licensure, retirement, evaluation, contact interpretation, loan forgiveness, as well as other personnel issues. In addition, the HR department is responsible for certified job postings, new staff orientation, substitute services, maintenance of staff files, supervision of the absence management program and the yearly Teacher Job Fair.
Our goal is to serve as the liaison between the teachers, staff and administration. We aim to provide information to our employees regarding district policies and procedures, contract information, legal updates as they relate to education, updates from the Ohio Department of Education, as well as changes in certification and/or licensure.
