• THE CHOICE IS YOURS!  CANTON CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT CHOICE SCHOOL SELECTION

In the Canton City School District, we firmly believe that you have a choice. This is why we offer a variety of educational opportunities for all of our students.

Canton City students in grades K-3 and 4-6 can attend a school based on their home address. Likewise, students in preschool attend the Early Learning Center @ Schreiber, students in grades 7-8 attend Crenshaw Middle School and students in grades 9-12 attend McKinley High School.

The District also offers students a variety of Choice schools that include specialized programming. Students in third, sixth and eighth grade who are not currently attending a choice school will have the opportunity to select a choice school over the next few weeks. If your child is in third, sixth or eighth grade and is not currently attending a choice school, then you will receive a ParentSquare post on February 6, 2023 with more details on how to make your selection.

Selections must be completed by February 17, 2023.

Selection Process - How To Make Your Selection In 3 Easy Steps:

Step 1

  • IDENTIFY - use the SchoolSearch tool to determine the school your student will attend next year, based on address.

Step 2

  • EXPLORE - visit school websites and virtual tours. Parents/Guardians can also make individual appointments to learn more about available programs and selection requirements.

Step 3

  • SELECT - complete the school choice form via ParentSquare by the February 17 deadline to let us know whether or not your child attends their neighborhood school or select a choice school opportunity for next year. If you need additional assistance, see the resources page below.
