"I've come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element in the classroom. It's my personal approach that creates the climate. It's my daily mood that makes the weather. As a teacher, I possess a tremendous power to make a child's life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration. I can humiliate or humor, hurt, or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis will be escalated or de-escalated and a child humanized or dehumanized." -The Power of a Teacher By: Haim Ginott

It is a pleasure to be part of each student's life! It is my goal to help them grow academically, as well as, socially and emotionally. It is my job to make sure children feel safe and nurtured within my classroom and our school. Together as a team, we will make a difference. I will work with students and parents/guardians to ensure that each student succeeds. I offer an open-door policy to all parents/guardians, and students. Having a welcoming classroom and instilling a love of learning, makes for a great school year!
