Welcome to Pre-K at Valmead! I am so excited to journey through the year with each child that will be in our classroom. We learn daily through play, exploration, dance, and in other various ways. We build friendships from our first day! I look forward to building a relationship with each child and family in my classroom. I graduated from Appalachian State University, May 2019. I have my degree in Child Development B-K. I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree. This is my 12th year working in child care and my 4th year working in the public school system (yay!). I am excited & always ready to make an impact here at Valmead!

I am a graduate of Hibriten High School and Appalachian State (GO APPS!)! I enjoy spending time with my daughter, Tileia and our loving, supportive family!

Hello, my name is Melinda Triplett. I am a PreK Instructional Assistant. I have my Associates in Early Childhood Education and currently getting my Bachelors in Birth-Kindergarten at Western Carolina. In my free time, I like to read, draw, diy crafts and spend time with family and friends.

Hi! I’m a PreK Instructional Assistant and my name is Jennifer Duncan. I have a bachelors degree in Child Development: Birth-Kindergarten from Appalachian State. I have worked with young children for over 10 years. I’m married to my husband of 15+ years and we have 3 daughters, 9 chickens, and 1 dog. There is never a dull moment at our house and I love it! In addition to my family I love Jesus, curling up with a good book, and coffee!
