Mrs. Harwell is a graduate of Appalachian State University. She has worked in three counties in the state of North Carolina and is now happy to be settled in her hometown. Her passion for her work developed out of a desire to help each child develop their own unique abilities in order to grow and learn in a world full of challenges and obstacles. Outside of school, Mrs. Harwell loves spending time with her family. She is married and has three daughters, one son, a son-in-law, and a daughter-in-law. She also has one dog, 4 cats, and chickens.
