I am a graduate of WCU and have been an RN for 31 years. I am currently in my 8th year of teaching Health Sciences at SCHS and thoroughly enjoy being around so many young people on a daily basis! Over my career, I have worked in the following roles: medical staff nurse, home health nurse, maternity care coordinator, utilization review nurse, parish nurse, rehab nurse, newborn nursery nurse, school nurse, and orthopedic nurse. Nursing is a great career for those who like variety and enjoy doing different types of tasks. Healthcare in general is a great career to pursue, as there are many different types of careers within the healthcare cluster. My goal is to teach students about the healthcare field and teach them the skills needed to be successful.
