Hi there! I am a 25 year veteran in elementary education with all 25 years being in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. I have taught for 20 years in North Carolina, and the other five years in New York State, which is my home state! This is my second year at Gamewell elementary school. I have worked in Hickory Public Schools, and Catawba County Schools before arriving here, which is where I’d like to stay until I retire!

Time is a thief and I want my kiddos to remember the fun we had even when they’re older!

I remember early on being in love with the school! I would ask my teachers to send home, extra worksheets in which I would take and play school with the neighborhood kids in my neighbor's barn! I always got to be the teacher! I think this was my true purpose on earth.

I love going to Hibriten high school football games, Blue Moose is amazing, and I used to love taking my kids to Bo’s when they were little!

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, whether it’s just watching TV, going to the beach, or just enjoying a meal together. Life really changes for parents when the children grow up and move out! I also enjoy working in the garden and growing beautiful flowers during the summertime! My have it on earth is any beach that has warm sand and waves
