I have worked in Caldwell County for 23 years, teaching grades 1-8. My majority of time was spent in first and second grades.

“Education is one thing no one can take away from you.” I have always been told by my mother that there are many things that can be taken away from you; your name, family, your pride, your good name but if you attempt an education no one can steal it!

My mother pursuing her goal to become a teacher when I was in middle school and high school was inspiring for me to see her work so hard.

My favorite Caldwell County places growing up were the outlying areas of Caldwell. Mortimer and Boomer are a few because of the beautiful landscapes.

I enjoy swimming, being with family, and singing with family.

I have a daughter at NCState. (Go Pack!) I also have a son who works for ServPro.  I am proud of both of my children for finding their passions in life!
