Welcome!

I've been fortunate to be a part of the teaching staff at Valmead Elementary School since 2005!  Over the years, I've taught first, second, and first/second combination classes. This year I'm excited to be teaching a 1st/2nd grades combination class again! We will have Mrs. Smith in the classroom as an Instructional Assistant, as well as Ms. Mitkus, an ASU student teacher, who will be with us for the first half of the year! I love working with students and their families to see the magic that occurs when students become readers, mathematicians, and explorers of our world. 

In my spare time I enjoy being with my family and dogs, antiquing with Mr. Franzen, reading historical fiction, and learning!

I'm excited about meeting and getting to know your child!  We have so much to explore together in first and second grades this year!
