I am the visual arts teacher at Sawmills Elementary School. I have been teaching in Caldwell County since August 2003. In 2003, I began my teaching career at both Whitnel Elementary School and Kings Creeks School.  In 2004, I had moved from Whitnel Elementary to Oak Hill Elementary. I have been the art teacher at Sawmills Elementary since 2006.  I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 2003. I received my National Board Certification for elementary art in 2008. I grew up in Catawba County and graduated from Fred T. Foard high school in 1998.  I enjoy working each day with your children by promoting their self-esteem, motivation, aesthetic awareness, and cultural exposure through the visual arts.
