Mrs. Michele B. Farr, M.A./CCC-SLP

Hi. I am the Speech-Language Pathologist at Gamewell Elementary and Gamewell Middle Schools. This is my ninth year working for the Caldwell County School System. I have been in practice 29 years having both medical SLP and educational SLP experience. Prior to working in the schools I worked primarily as a clinical therapist for home health and nursing homes, specializing in dyshphagia and dementia. I value the diversity in my practice. I enjoy working with all of the staff and students at GES and GMS. I am the blessed mother of three beautiful girls, Brianna, Amanda and Jenna.

The caseload between GES and GMS is large. I am fortunate to have a caring, capable, trust-worthy assistant working with me. Mrs. Leah Horton is my Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. Leah obtained her Associates degree from Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute in 2013. This is her third year working in the CCS system but she has nine years experience as an assistant. She worked in private care before beginning with CCS and continues to provide home health services through Anew Health. Leah also has a certification in early childhood education birth - five. Leah is married and has two children, Katie and Kaleb.
