Hello.  I am a second grade teacher at Gamewell Elementary School.  I have been teaching at GES for 23 years.  I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grades and have loved each one.  

I was born in Fort Riley, Kansas while my father was a military man.  Luckily we moved back to good ole Lenoir soon after and that is where I have been ever since.  I attended Gamewell Elementary School, Gamewell Middle School and West Caldwell School where I was even voted Homecoming Queen if you can believe that.  After all of that I was off to years of college at ASU where I finally decided on teaching as my career choice and I haven't looked back since.  I also attended Grand Canyon University where I received my Masters Degree in Elementary Education.

I married my high school sweetheart, Travis and we have a beautiful son named Tanner.  Tanner is an Appalachian State University graduate as well.  GO ASU!!!!  He is married to a teacher too.  They are expecting my first grandchild in March of 2023!!  

I love to ski, swim, travel and decorate in my spare time.  I also love to spend time with my family.  I have a brother, Jamie and a sister, Kailee.  We are a super close family and do so much together.

This is just a peek into my world.  I hope that I can learn about you as well in the coming months.  I am honored to teach your most prized possessions.  I know the love of a child so please know that I will teach and love them like my own.
