Welcome
Hello and thank you for visiting my website! I am exited to be the EMPOWER Counselor for Royal Oaks Elementary School, Northwest Cabarrus Middle School, and Northwest Cabarrus High School for the 2018-2019 school year. EMPOWER stands for Expanding Magnet Program Options, Widening Educational Reach. Under the EMPOWER program, I will be working with specifically-identified magnet students and providing additional academic, behavioral, and social/emotional support services to those students and their families.
About Me
This is my eighth year in Cabarrus County Schools and second year working with EMPOWER. Prior to moving to North Carolina, I worked as a School Counselor for several years in Upstate New York. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Albany and my Master of Science degree in Counseling from the State University of New York College at Brockport.
