Ms. Zeng

Hello and welcome to my webpage! My name is Wenchan Zeng, but I prefer people to call me Sebryna, which is my English name.

I am from China and I have been a teacher for 8 years. I taught English in China, and then I found my passion for teaching Mandarin overseas. So I started this career in Cambodia, Thailand, and in 2019, I came to the US. I taught Mandarin as a language class for Odell Primary School for 2 years, then was transferred to teach Mandarin in the immersion program here at HES last year. I love to teach in the immersion program, since we can experience much more interesting cultural things in the classroom. I am very excited about the new school year! I believe this year will be a fabulous and successful year! 

A little bit more about me:

I just got married to my wonderful husband, Brian Abdo this summer. As in Chinese culture, we don't have a tradition to change my last name, you can still call me Ms. Zeng. And I just invited 2 cats to my life this summer. One is a male cat: Tiger, and the other one is a female cat: Wolfy. They kept us very busy and brought a lot of great moments for us as well. Hope we will get to know each other more in the future!
