Mrs. Emily McEntire
Welcome to 6th grade Social Studies! I'm excited about leading students on a journey of discovery through the ancient world this school year. This is my 19th year of teaching and my 6th year at J.N. Fries. I have a B.A. in History, a Graduate Certificate in Elementary Education and currently am a graduate student in Curriculum and Instruction at UNC Charlotte. I am a graduate of the Cabarrus County Schools teacher-leader program, a curriculum writer for CCS, and I have served as a clinical educator for pre-service teachers at UNC Charlotte.
I serve as the team lead for the Eagles team and Grade Level Chair for 6th grade.
I'm a native North Carolinian who grew up in Charlotte. I currently reside in Cabarrus County with my family; husband Nick, an instructor of History at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, daughter Madeline, a junior at Cabarrus-Kannapolis Early College High School, and our dog BiLo.
