Welcome HRES Cowboys! 

Welcome to first grade!  My name is Brooklynn Stutzman. I am so happy to be your child’s first-grade teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. This will begin my fourth year in teaching. I’ve taught kindergarten in CCS, and first grade in CMS. This is my first year at Hickory Ridge, and I am so excited! 

         I graduated from UNC-Charlotte with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Children’s Literature. I studied abroad in Stuttgart, Germany, and observed elementary schools while I was there. I am from Asheville, North Carolina. I love the outdoors, and I enjoy surfing and longboarding in my spare time. I have a Goldendoodle named Sully!
