Welcome to 3rd grade!!! I am so excited and honored that I get to be your teacher this year. We’re going to learn so many new and exciting things together.  It’s very important that we work as a classroom family this year. We’ll be spending a lot of time together, so we must treat each other with respect, kindness, and compassion. It is my job as a teacher to help you grow as a learner, but also as a person with good character. This will be our best year yet! 

I thought you might want to know a little about me. I have my Masters Degree in Elementary Education, and this will be my 9th year teaching, but my first year teaching at Hickory Ridge Elementary School. When I’m not planning lessons or looking over your fabulous classwork, you can find me spending time with my wonderful husband Scott, and two amazing daughters, Carlee and Ava. Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my family and our two big dogs - Milo (the Doberman) and Madison (the German Shepherd). I also love going to the beach, watching movies, and working in our yard. 

In third grade, we are focused on helping you believe that you can learn or do anything you want with confidence, dedication, and hard work. We want you to see the power in the word YET and have a growth mindset.
