First graders explored different materials in the Makerspace.

First graders learned about different holiday celebrations. They worked in small groups in the Makerspace to create holiday symbols. Some students used paper and tape to create a Unity Cup to celebrate Kwanzaa. Other students used Legos to create Christmas trees, Santa, reindeer, and a menorah.
