Music is my higher power – Oliver James

Hi! I am Jennifer Newton and I am your Music Teacher.  I have been working with elementary-age children in some capacity since my college days (A LONG TIME AGO)! I love watching their brains figure out new things and I especially love the happiness and joy they get from music.  The possibilities with music are endless.

I began my music teaching career in 2000. It makes my heart happy to see the smiles and hear the laughter music brings to each student at our school.

IT IS MY GOAL TO CREATE A FUN & POSITIVE LEARNING ENVIROMENT for all the students at ATA! 

Fun facts about me:

* I LOVE TO SING!  

* I have 2 daughters (8th grade & 10th grade)

* I marched with Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps for 3 years

* I am a swim coach and instructor   

* I have 2 dogs and 3 cats

* I love to exercise and walk with my friends

* I LOVE to read, especially mysteries

* I have been skydiving

* I am thankful for all my family and friends
