Mrs. Gina Ratajc

Welcome to our Kindergarten class!  Just like a musical ensemble, each of us will work together in harmony to create a wonderful masterpiece over the course of the year in our classroom.  I’m looking forward to getting to know each of my students and helping them SOAR!

My name is Gina Ratajc.  I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a second major in Spanish.  This will be my 8^th year teaching.  I taught first grade at Winecoff Elementary School for 6 years before taking time off to stay home with my children.  This is my second year teaching Kindergarten at ROSA and I am so excited for a wonderful year.  My husband and I have 4 children, who all also attend Royal Oaks.

I like to spend time with my family and friends, bake, garden, sing, learn new things, make crafts, and do things outside.  My favorite subjects in school were science, math, and Spanish.  I believe that learning can and should be fun.  We will be doing lots of learning explorations this year and finding ways to embed the arts into all areas of our learning.  I am excited to partner with my students, their families and the rest of the ROSA team to create our classroom masterpiece!  We are going to have a fabulous year!
