I would like to personally welcome each of you to the 2016 Alvord Unified School District Convocation. This is a time for us to come together and build a deep understanding of our collective work, as well as the critical role each of us play in the success of our students. Our theme this year is Inspiring Excellence through Connection and Community. We will explore this theme through our initiatives of literacy and equity, which remain our focus as we strive to support all students in realizing their unlimited potential.

This day provides us with an opportunity to experience excellence as demonstrated by our students, staff, and community partners. As you participate in the various sessions offered throughout the day, I encourage you to make personal connections to your own work.
