Emergency Communications

  • Emergency Communications

In the event of an emergency situation, a school closing or early dismissal, you will receive a message from our Connect-ED service, our school-to-parent communication system that allows us to send important messages to you by telephone and/or email. Connect-ED supports the district's ability to reach you immediately in the event of an emergency. All calls will be send to home, work, and cell numbers that have been entered in PowerSchool, our student management system. Please assist us by making sure your contact information is always up-to-date. To make changes, please contact the main office of your building. In the case of an emergency, please refrain from calling into the district as all district personnel will be busy responding to the emergency. You will receive information via Connect-Ed and the additional sources outlined here:

The Southampton Public Schools also maintain a constantly updated website and Facebook page where important information can be posted immediately by administrators.

The school district has active coded alert accounts with all regional news media. Accurate information about weather and other emergencies that affect school operations will be posted as soon as possible.

When schools are closed due to inclement weather, bad road conditions, or other emergencies, a Connect-Ed message will be sent. Information will also be found on the following media outlets:
