Transportation Security

All forty-eight (48) Southampton school buses have operating cameras installed.  Checks are performed each day.  A sensor alarm alerts the bus driver if the camera is not working as it should.  Tapes are available for review if a concerning incident is not seen by, but is later reported to, transportation staff.   

The Southampton Bus Garage is monitored by a number of internal and external cameras.  There are also internal motion detectors as well as an alarm system that is monitored 24/7 by an outside agency.
