The California Department of Education under Assembly Bill 86 better known as AB86, will allocate funds to school districts to provide expanded learning opportunities for students. In order to receive the funding, districts will need to develop a district wide plan. We are asking for your support by providing us feedback and completing the Rio School District Expanded Learning and Opportunities (ELO Grant) Survey on programs and/or services we should fund. The Expanded Learning Opportunities Grant Plan focus is to develop or expand learning recovery opportunities for one or more of the following groups of students: Low Income, English Learners, Homeless or Foster Youth, Students with Disabilities, Students at Risk of Abuse/Neglect or Exploitation, Disengaged Students, and/or Students who are Below Grade Level.
If you have any questions re: the ELO Grant, please contact Dr. Sonya Mercado or Ms. Veronica Rauschenberger in the Educational Services Department (805) 485-3111.
