Senior Spotlight 2021: Kylie Rouse
Time to celebrate PCHS Class of 2021 Senior Spotlight, Miss Kylie Rouse!
Kylie is the daughter of Mary Rouse and Shane Tipton.
What are your plans after graduation? “I plan to go to college at Missouri Western State University to study criminal justice. While attending college I also plan to be a CNA.”
What’s your favorite memory at PCR-I? “My favorite memory at PCR-I would have to be when we had an intruder drill. We were barricading the door while watching the cameras in Mrs. Schoonovers' class. We were all hiding in the corner waiting for the drill to be over. Then we got a call. They told us that we were supposed to be going to the rally point. We were the only class that did not go. I never laughed so hard in my life. We were cutting through yards and running so fast so that we would not be super late. Mrs. Schoonover was laughing so hard. We still talk about this to this day because it was so funny."
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? "I see myself having a stable home, good-paying job, and a family. I plan to go on trips with my family and do fun things. You can never truly predict what will happen, but this is what I'm hoping to achieve."
What is something you want people to know?
What’s your favorite quote? “Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy taco bell, which is basically the same thing."
What’s your advice for incoming freshmen? "My advice to incoming freshmen is to always stay on top of your homework. Sometimes you are not going to have the motivation to do it and to keep your grades up. But you can do it!! It's not always going to be easy or fun, but in the end, you are going to get your diploma and it will all be worth it."
Who inspires you to pursue your dreams? "Something that inspires me to pursue my dreams is the people who have not pursued their dreams. They sit and wish they could have done it, and they never did. I want to accomplish all my goals in life and never regret that I didn't. Also, proving people in your life wrong is motivating, because there will always be people there judging you. "
Congratulations, Kylie! We are #PutnamProud of you!
