FBLA Members State Bound After District Competition
Congratulations are in order for several FBLA students and their sponsor, Mrs. Schoonover. This is the 2nd year for FBLA at Putnam County R-I after not having their own local chapter for a short time. They are definitely taking the momentum from their successes last year and blazing a trail of achievements and accolades for the future.
On Tuesday, FBLA students competed in Kirksville in District competition. Junior, Emily D was sworn in as the District 3 secretary. Seniors, Chloe T, Daysha C, and Sydney T won their ride to state after competing in Public Service Announcement and winning first place.
Junior, Emily D, not only stepped into her role as District 3 Secretary but also won 1st place in Job Interview.
Sophomores Vanessa B and Karlie I walked away with 1st place medals in their competitions, securing them a ticket to state.
Several other students received medals in their competitions and are already looking foward to competing again next year to do their best to make it to state.
Way to go, FBLA! Be sure to check out the photo gallery for all the behind the scenes fun!
