Ottumwa Schools uses a variety of resources to get important information to parents and the community. If school is delayed, cancelled, or makes other changes to the schedule, this information is shared on the following sources:

- Remind - sign up in your PowerSchool parent account for notifications and/or download the Remind app
- Ottumwa Community Schools App - download in your Apple or Android Play Store
- Local/area media including newspaper, television, and radio
