Ottumwa Online is a virtual school open to all Iowa students in grades PK-12. Our rigorous courses, offered through an online platform, provide personalized assistance from highly qualified Ottumwa district teachers. This tuition-free option allows students the flexibility to learn on their own schedule and at their own pace.

The pandemic of 2020 forever changed how teachers and students engage in instruction. We have taken the experiences of those early online instructional opportunities and created an engaging, quality, virtual experience. Ottumwa's virtual option will meet our student's academic and social emotional needs. Research indicates that learning accelerates when students are in control of their learning. Teachers use a variety of instructional approaches as well as off-line independent work. The student learner will be engaged in whole group, small group, and individual instruction in a high-trust environment.
