Vaccination Requirements
FOR INCOMING 7th GRADE STUDENTS:
Before incoming 7th grade students can begin classes in the fall, they must meet a mandatory state vaccination requirement. Students without proof of this vaccination or an exemption for this vaccination will not be allowed to attend school.
Meningococcal Secondary School Vaccination Requirement: Beginning the 2017-2018 school year and thereafter, students entering 7th grade born on or after September 15, 2004 shall have one dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (A,C,W,Y). There is no provisional period to implement this requirement.
Also; all students entering 7th grade are required to have the Tdap vaccine. If students are unable to get the Tdap vaccine prior to school starting, they will be allowed to start school with a 60-day provisional certification. Students must get the vaccine before the provisional certificate expires or they will be unable to attend school.
Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) Vaccination Requirement: Beginning the 2013-2014 school year and thereafter, students entering 7th grade and above if born on or after September 15, 2000, shall have a one-time dose of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine.
