Evans Lego League Qualifies for State

Evans Lego League teams 792 Lucky Lemurs and 794 Drone Rangers attended the First LEGO League Regional State Qualifier on Saturday, December 11th at Indian Hills Community College.

This year, FIRST teams addressed today’s global challenges related to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #9, focused on building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and fostering innovation.

Team 794 will be advancing to the First LEGO League State Championships in January after presenting their Drone solution to deliver packages to your doorstep quicker. Team members include: Ramon Hernandez, Raina Plate, Madalynn Sertterh, Finley Zuithoff, Lily Garrison, William Overturf, Nick Carlson, McKenna Ryan, Maverick Rath, and Joey Naumann. 

Team 792 received the Core Value Awards for all of their great teamwork and presented a challenging solution to end oil spills in the event of a collision or grounding of an oil tanker. Team members include: Grady Zuithoff, Harrison Gottschalk, Noah Fogle, Andrew Hunger, Kayla Simmons, Josie Aljets, Isabella Hoffman, Lydia Krueger and Alyssa Turner. 

Both teams are coached by Heidi Bradford with help from mentor Lydia Roling.
