Students in Mr. Brown's Project Lead The Way class learned about the effects of Cerebral Palsy on patients near and around their age. The project requirement was to build a foot orthosis for a patient with spastic hemiplegia (a type of cerebral palsy). They learned about thumbnail sketching, and how to be effective communicators and present their ideas to a small group more easily. Students will continue to use the skills learned in this project, and build on them for the remainder of the year in various projects.
