On Friday, Evans held a Tailgate Picnic in conjunction with the big football rivelry game between Iowa and Iowa State on Saturday.
With temperatures in the low 70s, students enjoyed a sack lunch of sunbutter and jelly sandwiches, carrot sticks, chips, and milk on the Evans lawn. Lunch was followed by table-top football, volleyball hits, football toss, and walking around the paved trail. While not the first time students have eaten outdoors, the tailgate theme was a first.
