Sixth, seventh, and eighth graders at Evans Middle School were recognized this fall for representing the school’s Standards of Success. Students of the Week in October included: Talise Plate, David Ewing, Lucius Laursen, Erynn Ward, Eve Rust, and Sawyer Batterson, sixth grade; Tyler Allison, Ava Johnson, Ashley Abongwa, Alaina Raleeh,Lilwayne Ragadio, Wendy Perez-Fernandez, Elli Bishop, and Joseph Jones, seventh grade; Denise Alvarado, Maddux Peters, Yuleni Curiel, Michael Wailes, Olivia Coram, and Carson McClellan, eighth grade.
Students of the Week in November included: Claire Hahn, Josiah Van Maanen, Sylvie Monaghan, Brayden Bjorkgren, Aiden Hoskins, and Mayc Seamans, sixth grade; Paige Grothe, Jace Clawson, Ashley Vanderheiden, and Tobias Schmidt, seventh grade; Malinee Barton, Gabe Leffler, Sarah Hunger, Kevin Moreno Lozano, Katie Shewry, and Jason Shepard, eighth grade.
Students of the Week in December included: Cameron Manary, Lauren Cain, Josue Vargas, and Miya Fuller, sixth grade; Zane Quigley, Alison Cutsforth, William Miller, and Erinne Mendibles, seventh grade; Ella Allar, Dakota Cormeny, Piper Batterson, and Michael Cormeny, eighth grade.
Standards include being a Responsible Community Member, Compassionate Role Model, and Respectful Individual. These standards can be displayed by attending school and actively participating in the learning process; collaborating with other students; having a positive attitude; listening actively, caring for the environment; and appreciating diverse friendships. Students will be selected each week and will receive a certificate during lunch and an Evans Pride Card.
