Twelve students at Evans Middle School were recognized recently for representing the school’s Standards of Success. Students of the Week for September 18 were: Maddux Peters and Madelyn Houk, seventh grade; and Samantha Khamphilanouvong and Zayson Clawson, sixth grade. Students recognized September 25 were: North Lindell and Teagen Holmon, eighth grade; and Jason Bonilla Noyola and Mailliw Figueroa, sixth grade. Students recognized October 2 included: Jason Shephard and Citlalli Cruz, seventh grade; and Carmen Ortiz and Carson Leonard, eighth grade.
Standards include being responsible, compassionate, and respectful. These standards can be displayed by attending school and actively participating in the learning process; collaborating with other students; having a positive attitude; listening actively, caring for the environment; and appreciating diverse friendships. Students are selected each week and receive a certificate during lunch and an Evans Pride Card.
