Two OHS student groups recently did their part for the environment.

A group of students taking metals courses at OHS volunteered to assist in trash clean-up this week. Students and instructor, Brett Graham, picked up a two mile stretch of Highway 23 starting at the Ottumwa city limits.

The OHS National Honor Society adopted a two-mile stretch of highway from Tractor Supply to the intersection of Highway 149/163 as one of their annual service projects. On Wednesday, students picked up trash.

Thanks to the help of the Wapello County roads department and the Department of Transportation for the supplying vests and bags.
