Three OHS student organizations will host a health and wellness event on Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Career Campus, located in downtown Ottumwa at 335 E. Main Street.
Students in the Teen Outreach Program, iJag, and Stomp Out Stigma are sponsoring the event. The purpose is to raise awareness about mental health and overall wellness for students and the community as well. Several local organizations will be on hand to share information about services available in Ottumwa. "Anyone dealing with health and wellness issues themselves or have a friend or family member struggling is encouraged to attend the event," according to organizer Kolby Streeby, Teen Outreach Program sponsor.
There will also be activities for children, including a make and take and give aways.
Businesses represented at the event includes Bridge City Dental, COVID Recovery Iowa, Crisis Intervention, Four Oaks, Sieda Community Action,
