OHS Bowlers Head to State

The Ottumwa High School girls and boys bowling teams will compete at next week's Iowa High School State Bowling Tournament in Waterloo. The girls team has qualified for state for 22 consecutive years. Both teams earned their ticket to state with a runner-up finish at the state qualifying meet.

Three bowlers also qualifed as individuals to compete at state, including Brooklyn Welch, Makenzie Fischer, and Mackenzie Clubb.

Team members include:

  • Girls Team:  Brooklyn Welch, Olivia Pilcher, Makenzie Fischer, Katelin Valentine, Olivia Moughler, Madi Greene, Hannalee Songer, and Mackenzie Clubb. Head coach is Doug Techel.
  • Boys Team: Mason Conrad, Rich Garrett, Reiley Freeman, Charlie Handling, Ryan Johnson, Aiden Hoskins, and Logan Shoemaker. Coaches are Tom Maher and John Eddy.
