Gabe McIntosh
Each month, the Pursuing Victory With Honor award will be given to an Ottumwa High School student who goes above and beyond the norm in citizenship, putting others before himself/herself, or being a tremendous asset to the Ottumwa High School community. The award will be given by Principal Mark Hanson.
The October recipient of Pursuing Victory With Honor is Gabe McIntosh. He was nominated by Officer Gravett.
Officers Gravett and Murphy received a report of a cellphone left in the landing between first and second floor. They observed two students check out the phone and leave it instead of turning it in. McIntosh found the same phone a few minutes later and turned it into the attendance office. "I am proud of Gabe for turning this phone in and doing the right thing," said Officer Murphy. Something so simple to do by turning in lost property often does not end up with this outcome."
Gabe, an OHS sophomore, was awarded during second period and his class received a box of donuts.
