Jili Butler - Fulfilling, unpredictable, and entertaining. These are the three words Jili used to describe her high school experience. During high school, Jili performed as a competitive dancer, taught swimming and dance, and worked at Hobby Lobby. After high school, she plans to attend the Iowa School of Beauty.
Favorite OHS memory - “I am thankful for all of the time I spent with my friends, in and outside of school. Some of them I’ve known since kindergarten while others I just met within the last 4 years.”
Life lessons learned - “Staying motivated and on top of my school work; there were times that I struggled and fell behind in my classes but I had great people around me to help me stay on my feet. :)”
Influential staff member - “I had many great teachers that helped me. I had Mrs. Sprouse & Mr.Sones who were open for me to talk to whenever I needed to. Mr.Scott, Mr.Stout & Mr.Seemann were funny and had a great sense of humor.”
Defining OHS experience - “I always wondered what category people put me in. I never felt like I fit in with a “type” of the group. I was always willing to talk to anyone, my friends and I just did our best to have fun together.”
Greatest high school accomplishment - “Balancing school, 24 hours of dance rehearsal a week, part-time jobs, and mental struggles. Being diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder made things tough, but thankfully I had people there to help me out :)”
Advice for underclassmen - “Do your best and make the most of your time. My best memories are with my friends, working together, and having fun in our classes together. Don’t be afraid to talk to people, and try new things, or ask for help.”
