Alexis Johnston - During her time at OHS this honor student spent 2 years on the cross country team and 2 years on the track team. She was on the JROTC Raiders team and served as the JROTC AS-5 Special Projects Specialist. She is currently a National Guard enlistee as a 42A Human Resources Specialist. After high school, she plans to begin basic training, finish her AA at Indian Hills, join the University of Iowa’s ROTC program, and become a teacher or counselor.
Life lessons learned - “Mistakes are a good thing. The greatest life lessons result because of failures and it is lessons learned from those mistakes that make us who we become.”
Most influential teachers - “Throughout my years of education, I have had many teachers who have positively impacted my life. The two most influential teachers I have had at OHS are Mrs. Sprouse and Ms. Aljets.”
