OHS honored their seniors during Tuesday's Don Newell Relays. Students recognized included:
- Naily Alvarenga, daughter of Mirna and Adam Alvarenga, plans to attend IHCC for Medical Lab Technology and then on to University of Iowa for her bachelor’s degree.
- Meghan Coulter, daughter of Abby and Tyler Selby and Sean and Stanzi Coulter, plans to continue her academic and athletic career at Drake University and study Health Science.
- Mya Davis, daughter of Linda Davis and Cole Davis, plans to attend IHCC with a major in sports medicine.
- Anne Guest, daughter of Angie and Scott Guest, plans to further her academic and athletic career at U of I, majoring in Elementary Education and being a member of the Track and Field team.
- Lily Kester, daughter of Tasha and Mike Robertson, plans to attend IHCC for Physical Therapy, then transfer to a bigger college like U of I to complete her BA.
- Josie Lemonds, daughter of Kim and Jamie Lemonds, plans to attend IHCC to become a preschool teacher.
- Isabelle Mellin, daughter of Cyndi Mellin and Mike Mellin, plans to run cross country at IHCC for 1 year while getting her AA, then transfer to a 4-year university.
- Chloe Schneckloth, daughter of June and Sean Schneckloth, plans to attend the University of Iowa, to pursue a career as a dental hygienist.
- Taylor Barndt, son of Tara Simms, plans to attend a trade school after graduation.
- Armel Bazin, exchange student hosted by Trena and Brian Beske, plans to return to France and finish high school.
- Nathan Campbell, son of Eric and Natalie Campbell, plans to pursue a 4 year business degree from the University of Iowa.
- Isaac Eaton, son of David and Becky Eaton,plans to attend a trade school for mechanics and welding.
- Blessing Gbambo, son of Leah Gweh, plans to attend DMACC in Ankeny to study sports medicine.
- Jesus Jaime, son of Maria GG De Jaime and Jesus Jaime, plans to attend Southeastern CC to play baseball and obtain his AA degree.
- Christian Lopez, son of Ester Gramajo, plans to attend IHCC for Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Gaitlin Menninga, son of Alan and Tracey Menninga, plans to attend DMACC after graduation.
- Rion Slack, son of Chrystal Duncan and Corey Slack, plans to attend Iowa Wesleyan University to play baseball.
- Maxwell Thomason, son of Danielle Moore and Barry Moore, plans to attend the University of Iowa to study Business Entrepreneurship. He plans to run his own photography business.
- Jesse Vanderheiden, son of Laura Waddell, plans to attend IHCC for welding.
- Charlie Welch, son of Angela Welch, plans to attend IHCC for 2 years so he can get a business degree then go into real estate and plans to buy and flip houses.
