Drivescape’s driver education program will host two summer sessions between June 3 and July 13. Classes are held at Ottumwa High School in room 117. Enter through door 11. Drivescape is state certified and includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of driving.
Driving will be arranged to accommodate sports, school, and work schedules. The first summer class will start on Thursday, June 3 from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and runs Monday-Friday. The second summer class starts June 28 with no classes on July 4. Driving will start on the first day of class at 10 a.m.
The cost of the summer course is $320. To register, bring the completed registration form (see link below) and proof of driving permit to the OHS Business Office. Make checks payable to Ottumwa High School. Students eligible for free/reduced lunch need to notify the office when registering. Once payment is received, the student will be placed on the class list. A class confirmation letter will be sent approximately seven days before classes start.
Summer classes fill up quickly. Students are encouraged to register a soon as possible.

Driving will be arranged to accommodate schedules. Iowa state law requires 30 hours in the classroom and 6 hours behind the wheel driving. All driving will be scheduled with a driving partner for observation purposes.
