Over 100 pairs of shoes have been donated to date to support the OHS Class of 2022's shoe drive. The drive runs through January 15, 2021 to raise funds for After Prom 2021. The class will earn funds based on the total weight of the shoes collected. Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated footwear. Those dollars will benefit the Class of 2022. Anyone can help by donating gently worn used or new shoes at Ottumwa High School.
All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of microenterprise partners in developing nations.
Fourth period classes are competing for the chance to win a pizza party. Standings to date include:
- Gregory - 51 pairs
- Fisher - 12 pairs
- Mescher - 9 pairs
- Swanstrom- 8 pairs
- Van Dam - 3 pairs
- Malagon - 2 pairs

Community members may give shoes to students attending OHS or can drop them off at the Fourth St. entrance.
