On Tuesday, October 20, Schafer Field will ring with the sounds of the combined 6-12 bands. This year the bands are presenting their annual fall event on a separate evening instead of during a football game halftime. This will allow family and friends to attend and socially distance. The schedule for the evening is as follows:
- 5:15-5:30 p.m. - Students arrive at Schafer Stadium to rehearse together
- 6:30 p.m. - Pizza dinner for students provided by the district
- 7:30 p.m. - Show time under the lights
Music for the evening will include: "Let's Go Band," "Ghostbusters," "The Magnificent Seven," and "Theme from Peter Gunn."
Also planned for the evening is Senior Night for our band seniors. Directors Kylee Martin (6th), Pam De Boer (7/8), and Troy Gerleman (OHS) hope you will come see and hear the great things your Ottumwa band students are doing. Let's fill the stands and cheer for the band!
