OHS juniors want to promote school spirit while keeping the community safe.
The junior class is currently raising funds for the 2021 prom. "A lot of people don't have Ottumwa masks," said Gissellen Turrado, junior class president. The class hopes to sell at least 50 of the custom masks. Proceeds will go towards prom expenses.
The junior class is working hard to put together details for the spring event. They hope that the current pandemic doesn't force the cancellation of prom for a second time. "We want to have a fun event," Turrado said.
Order deadline for the black masks is September 30th. Masks should arrive by October 23rd.
