Favorite OHS Memory - “The day when the Latinos made an impact about our cultures for the first time at OHS. Our first diversity assembly had a huge impact on everyone because we just wanted to show people that we all have different cultures so people may act in different ways and take things differently.”
Describe something about OHS that stands out to you - “My teachers were a huge influence in my whole experience.”
Greatest Accomplishment - “I had to accomplish having good grades and participating in sports and all the activities that I could. I tried to influence other people to do it too.”
Biggest Challenge - “My biggest challenge in high school was coming from another country speaking zero English and trying to get good grades all the time.”
Most Influential Teacher - “Ms. Glasnapp had a huge impact on me teaching English as a second language. Ms. Hanson had a huge impact on me by helping look for sources for a better future such as college. She was even a person I could trust if I could not find anyone to talk to about my personal problems. Ms. Zavala also had a huge impact by helping me.”
What lessons will you take away from your OHS experience? - “Always have a plan and when I do not understand something, I can always ask for help. Also, not to be afraid of whatever is coming up and to take risks.”
Advice to Underclassmen - “Always listen. Try to work in teams. Ask questions that you do not understand.”
